Photographer Tracy Doyle and stylist Lisa Smedley joined forces to create a photographic collection celebrating friendship and femininity. The shoot was inspired by 2016 spring fashion lines from designers such as Emilia Wickstead, Erdem, J.W.Anderson, and Fendi, which showcased classically vintage Victorian styles featuring delicate ruffles, high lace collars, and dramatic sleeves.
Tracy and Lisa’s collaboration hinged on their shared ambition to pair the unexpected. The demure beauty of the women and the fashion adorning them provided sharp contrast to the fierce attitudes, vintage car, and barren landscape.
Doyle and Smedley believe doing what others may not expect is the true beauty in having one’s own unique style.
